Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering beautiful views of the Ayrshire countryside. However, being in the 'annex' section of the building, which appeared dated and tired, was a downside. The location was amazing, nestled in the countryside yet close to Ayr, but being directly under the flight path for Prestwick was quite unpleasant.

The service was mixed, with one standout staff member going above and beyond, but overshadowed by unprofessional behavior. The dining experience had its highlights but also some disappointing moments. The hotel's potential is evident in its beautiful surroundings and proximity to Dunfries House for exploration.
The hotel is a bit far from the main building and on the small side. The dining room had some issues, but the location is impressive despite being in the midst of a construction area. Rooms had cleanliness issues and service was lacking effort. The breakfast was subpar, and the hotel facilities seemed to be a mess due to ongoing construction.
